to Maastricht, with gratitude

Even though I know that the deepest things are often the hardest to put into words, not writing anything about this journey would feel like leaving something important unsaid.
So… here goes Diep's note.

first – gratitude
Grateful for the serendipity, effort, and little coincidences that brought us all together - people from over 20 countries who could laugh, share perspectives, and truly listen to one another as if we’d known each other for years.
second – the feeling that “learning is never boring"
Each day was filled with big questions, meaningful conversations, and the buzz of the classroom when someone said something that made the whole room go “ohhh!” - in surprise, delight, or deep resonance.

third – one week was too short
I found myself racing against time, seizing every moment: listening, observing, breathing in the cool summer breeze, and sneakily sipping on the cappucino I’d brought from the hotel while brainstorming ideas in class.
fourth – a promise to keep going
The more I met people with ideals and open hearts, the more I realized: there’s no way I can stay in the same place, not mentally, not emotionally.
fifth – the Netherlands, oh the Netherlands!
I’d thought about this place for so long, since I was a little girl drinking Dutch Lady milk every morning. Maybe this quiet stubbornness that people often tease me for… is exactly what helped me dream big and chase those dreams all the way here.
sixth – a tiny flutter in the heart...
I know a piece of my soul now belongs to Maastricht, but something about Amsterdam stirred something too. Just a little spark.
see you again, someday soon
with love
